Trip Overview :- Experience Kerala - 5 Nights & 6 Days

Route: Cochin → Munnar → Thekkady → Alleppey / Kumarakom → Varkala → Cochin

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - Cochin Arrival → Munnar

  • Pickup from Cochin Airport/Railway Station by our representative.
  • Drive to Munnar.
  • Sightseeing en route: Cheeyappara & Valara Waterfalls Spice Plantations & Tea Gardens Optional: Kathakali, Kalaripayattu, Elephant Ride, Jeep Safari
  • Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 2 - Munnar Sightseeing

  • After breakfast, visit: Mattupetty Dam (speed boating) Kundala Lake (pedal & shikara boating) Eco Point
  • Afternoon: Eravikulam (Rajamala) National Park (subject to time; usually closed in Feb & Mar)
  • Evening (optional): Blossom Park & Tea Museum
  • Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 3 - Munnar – Thekkady

  • After breakfast, check out from Munnar and drive to Thekkady, renowned for the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, one of Kerala's best locations for viewing wildlife. Enjoy the scenic viewpoints along the way.
  • Check into your hotel by the afternoon.
  • Afternoon activities include: Boating in Periyar Lake, which offers rare opportunities to watch wild animals like elephants, deer, and bison from the safety of the boat. Optional Activities: Kadhakali show, Kalaripayattu (martial arts) demonstration, or an elephant ride.
  • Return to the hotel for your overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 4 - Thekkady – Alleppey / Kumarakom Houseboat

  • After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Munnar and proceed to Alleppey / Kumarakom.
  • Check into your private houseboat at 12:30 PM.
  • After lunch, enjoy a serene backwater cruise through the enchanting network of canals and lakes. You will witness: Chinese fishing nets, vast paddy fields, and local villages. Villagers engaged in making coir products and traditional life along the water.
  • All meals (lunch, dinner, evening tea, and snacks) will be freshly prepared and served on board.
  • Overnight stay in the houseboat.

Day 5 - Alleppey / Kumarakom – Varkala

  • After breakfast, check out from the houseboat and proceed to the beautiful coastal town of Varkala.
  • Sightseeing and activities in Varkala include: Visit the stunning Varkala Cliff and beach. Explore the ancient Janardhana Swamy Temple. Visit Jatayu Earth's Center, famous for the world's largest bird sculpture (can be visited en route). Optional Activities: Enjoy water sports at the beach, such as surfing, parasailing, and jet skiing.
  • Overnight stay in Varkala.

Day 6 - Cochin Departure

  • Breakfast and check out from your hotel in Varkala and drive to Cochin for your departure.
  • For Cochin drop, sightseeing (time permitting): Fort Kochi Mattancherry Jew Town St. Francis Basilica Dutch Palace
  • Shopping and sightseeing as per your flight/train schedule.
  • Our representative will drop you at Cochin Airport (around 6:00 PM) and assist as needed.
  • Drive back to your hometown with sweet memories of Kerala with BuddysTour.

Exclusions

  • Any kind of food and beverages that is not included in the package like alcohol drinks, mineral water, meals/refreshment/lunches on the highway.
  • Any personal expense like tip to the drivers, entry to the monuments. monasteries, camera/video camera charges, laundry, telephone bills, tips etc.
  • Any cost arising due to natural calamities like landslides, roadblocks etc. (to be borne by the customer on the spot)
  • Anything not mentioned in the inclusion.
  • Air fares/Train Tickets.
  • Vehicle and Permit charges for the visit for special areas/ local collections

Terms & Conditions

  • The package is a proposal, not a confirmation. Bookings proceed after your confirmation, advance payment, and hotel availability.
  • If specified hotels are unavailable, we will suggest alternatives; the price may vary with selection.
  • Accommodation chosen as per your preference & budget.
  • No hidden charges like taxes, VAT, GST.
  • Rates valid only for the mentioned period.
  • Breakfast/refreshment not included on arrival day.
  • Any extra bed, meals, or additional adult/child above 5 yrs not included must be paid directly as per hotel policy.
  • Resort/Hotel honeymoon inclusions are not included (unless specifically stated).
  • Rooms in Munnar, Thekkady, Ooty, and Kodaikanal are generally Non-AC due to cool climate.
  • Eravikulam National Park remains closed for ~3 months yearly during Nilgiri Tahr breeding (typically Feb–Mar).
  • Balance payment due on or before arrival (Cheques & DDs not accepted). 2.5% card charges apply to online/card payments.
  • Extra running of the cab will attract additional per-km charges.
  • In case of bandh/strike, alternative arrangements will be made; extra expenses are not included.
  • In A/C Deluxe houseboats, A/C operational from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
  • Houseboat check-in at 12:00 Noon; cruise till 5:00 PM; then anchor as per Government regulations.
  • Early check-in/late check-out subject to availability and may be chargeable.

Policies

  • If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 75% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • In the case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases, the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.
